Three-time series champion Ron Hornaday visited the VFW National Headquarters’ Employee Appreciation/Take Your Child to Work Day on April 23. Hornaday was in Kansas City for the Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway.
Hornaday, driver of the VFW #33 Kevin Harvick, Inc. Silverado in the NASCAR/Camping World Truck Series, met with VFW employees, signed autographs and participated in a Q&A session for a packed house. VFW employees attended as well as their children and grandchildren.
This is the second season VFW has partnered with Kevin Harvick, Inc. KHI is a well-respected racing team co-owned by Kevin and DeLana Harvick, and has demonstrated its support for programs designed for veterans and active military families. They are a perfect match with the VFW’s mission to honor the sacrifice and ensure the rights of America's war veterans.
“We’ve enjoyed being a part of the team the past two seasons. He’s a great driver and a huge supporter of our troops. Ron understands how dedicated VFW employees are and what a big difference their work makes for service members, veterans and their families,” says Allen “Gunner” Kent, VFW Adjutant General.
Hornaday is currently second in points in the Camping World Truck Series.
